Certified in the BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™ program in 2020, Orion Township, Michigan, scored especially well in the Shelters and Business traits of our pet-friendly cities model — including the fact that the city government allows employees to bring pets to work.

Orion Township features a 24-acre, fence-enclosed dog park, Orion Oaks. This regional attraction draws visitors from all over Metro Detroit. The park offers access to two trails, a picnic shelter, drinking water, open play areas and Lake Sixteen for dogs to swim.
